Kalpetrane 🇨🇭

Sometimes melancholic, often dark, but always danceable – that’s how one can describe the music of Kalpetrane. Inspired by bands such as Talking Heads, L’Impératrice, and Nu Genea, the oberwalliser gband has developed its own sound, infused with disco and new wave: the five young musicians aim to carve their path between these genres by combining funk grooves with saturated guitars, synthesizers, and catchy hooks. Over the past year, Kalpetrane has been working on its first EP titled Heartbleed, which will be released on March 1, 2024. Heartbleed can’t be narrowed down to a single genre: it features dance influences, soul elements, and a thoughtful homage to 1970s afrobeat music, all the way to a blend of punk and vintage disco.
