Sunday 28 June | 16:00 - 17:00 | Concert

Saragon is a project by guitarist and ud player Peter Verhelst, based in Eeklo, a Flemish city in Belgium. Although he was trained as a jazz guitarist, his passion for rabic, Indian, flamenco and classical music profoundly influenced his approach to the world of Saragon. This trio is completed by Anneleen Boehme on double bass and vocals, and Yves Peeters on percussion. Their compositions are based on Arab-Andalusian culture, with Western harmonic influences and often let them get floating in improvisations. Saragon is a musical hymn to the beauty of life and the multicultural society that shapes our world.
